The CFC Youth Connection Team was established after a group of students from the senior high youth group went on a leadership retreat. While there, everybody was challenged to work as team, to learn how to communicate with each other, and how to rely on each other even when everybody was frustrated. We also learned about 4 different types of leaders, Doers, Movers, Relaters, and Thinkers, and why it is important to have some of each type of a person on a leadership team. Finally, we decided as a group how we wanted to define a leader.
"A leader is someone who has a clear vision and direction, and has the ability to give people reason to believe in and further the growth of the same vision."
The team hopes to learn how to serve each other, the church, and the community through our service and actions.
"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity." 1 Timothy 4:12
